Aly takes the lead [06-23-05]
AHAS Forum members NatStarr and Incarnadine receive due props for uncovering news that Aly will be starring in a spoof of romantic comedies due to be released in 2006. Not much is known at this point, but most of what we know came from here.
The yet-unnamed feature will star Alyson Hannigan, Adam Campbell, Eddie Griffin, Fred Willard and Jennifer Coolidge being directed by Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer. Friedberg and Seltzer are known for their movies spoofs of other genres such as Scary Movie and Spy Hard.
The best news here, however, is that this will be Aly's first lead role in a major motion picture. AHAS will bring you more news as more is revealed.
HIMYM Is A Go! [05-18-05]
CBS announced their new fall lineup this morning, and Aly's new comedy "How I Met Your Mother" is one of five comedies to premire this fall. The show will air on Monday nights at 8:30 p.m. in a very good time slot between "The King of Queens" and "Two and a Half Men".
The official release can be seen on CBS's site. "How I Met Your Mother" is one of only six new shows coming to CBS, the number one network for the 2004-2005 season.
"How I Met Your Mother" is an ensemble half hour comedy starring Neil Patrick Harris 25 years in the future, relating to his kids via flashback how he met his future wife. Alyson plays the newlywed wife of one of his best friends.
How I Met Your Mother [05-17-05]
(after my best friend married Aly)
Lots going on in Alyland currently folks! (sorry for the desert of news)
After the dropping of Americana and Aly's walkout of "In The Game" (which, incidentally, closed up shop not long afterward. Guess Aly saw the writing on the wall before anyone else on that one!), the biggest possibility on the horizon is "How I Met Your Mother" and ensemble comdey poised to air on CBS this fall. Already greenlighted for 13 episodes, it remains to be seen if CBS will feature it as part of their fall lineup.
"How I Met Your Mother" also stars Neil Patrick Harris ('Doogie', anyone?) in this reportedly hilarious show of a man relating to his children the story of how he met his future wife. Alsyon plays the part of the recently-wed wife of one of the main character's closest friends. Word on the street is that the pilot was one of the funniest comedies to be seen in a couple years, so expectations are high.
At least we won't have to wait long to find out folks, as CBS will announce their schedule on Wednesday, May 18th.
Keep your fingers crossed for your weekly dosage of Aly goodness!

Aly Walks [02-19-05]
According to contactmusic.com, Alyson has left the midseason replacement show "In The Game" before it begins airing. Aly was to play Jennifer Love Hewitt's character's best friend in the show.
"My character was pointless and it certainly wasn't challenging." said Aly regarding her reasons for leaving.
Aly is back "In The Game" [01-06-05]
In a first post from new member royal_te alerts us that Alyson Hannigan has signed up with a new sitcom series called "In the Game" also starring Jennifer Love Hewitt and Ed O'Neill.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the sitcom focuses on an aspiring sports producer (Hewitt) who unwittingly becomes an on-air reporter on a sports show.
Alyson will play the role of Hewitt's character's best friend. O'Neill, best known for his role as Al Bundy in "Married With Children" will play the show's executive producer.
As far as AHAS knows, this is the first role Aly has been up for since the cancelled "Americana" (also known as "Home & Hardware") and last season's guest appearances on "That 70's Show". While there can be no certainty this show will ever see the light of day, we find it promising to see two other big names in the cast list. With all that star salary money in the budget, chances are better that it will get some airtime, unless the show is truly atrocious.
Please feel free to join our discussion of the new show in our Forums!
Tap. Tap. Is this thing on? [12-25-04]
As many of you are no doubt aware, the entire AHAS infrastructure was deactivated by my internet host yesterday. For the moment, it appears that the site and forums are running again, so I am able to post this explanation to you.
A widespread attack on security holes in the php scripting language forced the host to take drastic measures and disable sites running certain php applications. It attacked not only my sites, but thousands upon thousands of sites (40,000 an hour) running php and hackable versions of phpbb, the forum software I use for the AHAS Forum. While AHAS Forum was not at risk, it had been updated a few days earlier, another installed application I rarely use was at risk and forced the host to take down AHAS and everything under Network 23.
For more information on what happened, please see my post in the AHAS Forum.
Annual AHAS Christmas Party [12-15-04]
It's time once again for anyone who is willing and able to get together for some realtime chat to celebrate the holidays. If you want specifics on when and how, here's the thread with the skinny.
It's been a great year for Alyson and this site. I hope to see many of you at the party. If not, then I wish you the best this Christmas season!

Summer of repeats [07-19-04]
In case you missed it the first time around, one of the That '70s Show episodes guest starring Alyson will be repeating July 27th on the Fox Network.
The episode is titled Won't Get Fooled Again starring Topher Grace, Mila Kunis, Ashton Kutcher Danny Masterson, Laura Prepon, and Wilmer Valderrama.
"Donna misses one of her birth control pills; Kelso and Fez wait until Suzy (guest star Alyson Hannigan) is gone to confess that they miss each other. Guest star Jim Gaffigan."

AHAS announces the third and most recent Palace Party! Get your avatars ready and join the fun in virtual reality! Meet and chat with your AHAS Forum friends in real time. There's just a few days until the big event, so come on in and see what this is all about!
Happy Birthday, Aly! [03-24-04]
All of us at AHAS wish you a warm, happy, fun Birthday! Aly's in England right now, almost half-way through her run as Sally in the stage production of When Harry Met Sally, but even "across the pond" away from home, we're sure she'll have a great first birthday as a married girl!
Here's to many, many more!
Want to post your own birthday message to Aly? Feel free to register on our Forum (unless you've already registered) and post away in her birthday thread!
An Angel Dies [02-18-04]
While not strictly Aly news, it's important to note that The WB has officially announced that Angel will not be renewed for a sixth season.
It is related to Alyson in that we were all hoping for a "special guest appearance" by our fave actress on the show. Now if that's going to happen, it better happen pretty quick what with only three months left of the show (and probably half of those episodes already "in the can"
Now AHAS is hoping that Joss is not ready for Angel to end and will start scouting around for another network to pick up on the show. With Alyson onstage overseas in the London production of When Harry Met Sally, it's pretty unlikely she can get back here in time to appear on Angel this season.
Feel free to discuss this unfortunate news in our Forums.
70's Alyson Update [02-10-04]
Alyson's first appearance on That 70's Show will be on Wednesday, February 18th.
Alyson will play a new police academy recruit where Kelso, the good-looking but intellectually-challenged friend of Eric, is also enrolled. According to the listing, Alyson Hannigan guest stars in this episode that finds Kelso out to find Fez a new main squeeze.
This will be Alyson's first significant television appearance since Buffy the Vampire Slayer ended it's seven-year run last May.
Real Wedding News and more... [01-21-04]
Respected AHAS Member Nyarl alerted us to this article that touches on Alyson's wedding to Alexis Densiof late last year.
"It was wonderful, even better than we wanted, and we had pretty high expectations," Hannigan recalls [in the article]. "We had raised the bar pretty high for ourselves, saying, 'This is our dream wedding.' We were expecting everything to go terribly wrong."
But be warned, some Angel spoiler info begins on the 13th paragraph. Read on only if you don't want to be surprised in upcoming Angel episodes!
She's Everywhere! She's Everywhere! [12-28-03]
At Best Buy at least! Today's Sunday newspaper inserts for the electronics stores are all promoting American Wedding being released on DVD next Tuesday. In the Best Buy insert, every television for sale has a "simulated picture" of a scene from American Wedding, and that shot includes Alyson Hannigan appearing multiple times over all the televisions for sale.
The funniest part is that the scene they put on the screens was one that Alyson did not appear in the movie, but because of her star status, they superimposed her into the scene to the left of Jason Biggs. They didn't get her sized just right and she looks proportionally smaller than she really is.
Greasepaint And Spotlights! [12-22-03]
Relative newcomer to our AHAS Forums Woody informs us that, according to this article on Whatsonstage.com, Alyson will star opposite Luke Perry, costar of Buffy the Vampire Slayer ( no, not that Buffy the Vampire Slayer, this Buffy the Vampire Slayer! ) in the first-ever stage adaptation of the Rob Reiner film When Harry Met Sally.
Alyson will play the part of Sally opposite Perry's Harry as "one-time college classmates who move to New York and, over many years, hate each other, become friends and, against their own better judgments, eventually fall in love".
The play previews on February 10th and starts it's official run February 20th at the West End’s Theatre Royal Haymarket (that's in England), where it's planned to run through May 29th, 2004. Book your tickets here!
December Palace Party pics [12-21-03]

Our December party at AlyCHAT was attended by all our AHAS Forum moderators and several members, including one lurker (hello, Era!). We all had a great time shootin' the breeze and just hangin' out. Included here is a posed picture of most who attended (they were very patient with me!).
Look for another Palace party in the future, possibly around Spring. In the meantime, feel free to come to AlyCHAT whenever you like. If you're lucky, you'll chance upon a member here. If not, just hang out for a while. You never know who will show up!
Thanks to everyone who helped make the December Party a success!
Aly Wins A Commie! [12-08-03]
In Comedy Central's first award show ever, Alyson Hannigan walked away with the award for the Funniest Movie Actress of the Year for her role as Michelle in American Wedding.
"The Commies" award program was a two-hour event broadcast December 8th. Hosted by Alan Richter, The Commies awarded the art of comedy in categories such as Funniest Movie, Funniest Stand-up Comedian of the Year, Funniest Animated Voice, Funniest New Guy and Funniest Curmudgeon.
Alyson was nominated for Funniest Actress along with Jennifer Aniston in Bruce Almightly, Reese Witherspoon in Legally Blonde 2 and Sweet Home Alabama, and Queen Latifa in Bringing Down the House.
Alyson sat next to her new husband Alexis Denisof and rose to accept the award when they announced her name.
"Thanks everybody who voted," she said as she took the gold, bobble-headed statuette (see icon, left), "and the people at Comedy Central and, um, my husband. This is gonna look great on my dashboard!"
December Palace Party! [12-04-03]
As promised, our second Palace Party is happening this month. This weekend in fact!
Depending on where you live on this planet, AlyCHAT's 2nd Celebratory Bash will be held December 6th or 7th. Our Palace Parties are a great way to meet up and chat with other Alyson Hannigan fans in real time!

AHAS hopes to see you there!
On The Set [11-10-03]
News on the street is that Alyson is in front of the television cameras this week, possibly shooting her role in "That 70's Show". Alyson will play a new police academy recruit where Kelso, the good-looking but intellectually-challenged friend of Eric, is also enrolled. This will be Alyson's first significant television appearance since Buffy the Vampire Slayer ended it's seven-year run in May. She is slated to appear in two episodes of the sitcom.
Stay tuned to AHAS for airtimes as they become available.
Partytime! A Fun Time Was Had By All! [11-04-03]
While we didn't have to turn anyone away from the kickoff and debut of our new realtime chat service AlyCHAT, those who attended had a lot of fun!
AHAS has added a Palace server to its lineup of services and with a quick download, you too can join our Palace and the fun! We are already planning our next party sometime in December.
The Palace is a two-dimensional, graphical, realtime chat system where you can don images of Alyson, Spike, Spiderman, or whoever you desire to be as an avatar and talk with others who visit the same "Palace Rooms"
All the information is in the AHAS Forums. You don't have to register to read the information, or even to attend the party, but the AHAS Forums are a lot of fun and a great place to meet and talk with other Aly fans!
Don't miss this great opportunity to meet and talk in real-time with Forum regulars and new fans of Alyson Hannigan!
We're Not In Kansas Anymore [11-03-03]
Reports are that newlyweds Alyson and Alexis have returned from their honeymoon, ready to get back to work! Wedding pictures are still MIA, but when and if they surface, AHAS will be sure to let you know.
Quick trivia question. What was the first song Alyson and Alexis danced to as a married couple?
A: "Somewhere Over the Rainbow"
Wishing You A Lifetime Of Happiness [10-15-03]
Alyson Hannigan and Alexis Denisof formally exchanged wedding vows at Two Bunch Palms in Desert Hot Springs, California on October 11, 2003. AHAS and everyone on the AHAS Forum wish Alyson and Alexis good luck for a beautiful and long-lasting marriage.
Join us in the AHAS Forum to talk about the wedding and offer them your congratulations!
Aly Rides The Peacock [10-13-03]
Alyson has struck a deal with NBC in hopes they can create a show to feature her talents. NBC is looking at developing a sitcom for the actress to star in, and won a bidding war among other networks after she announced her desire to star in a network sitcom while promoting American Wedding on talk shows.
Kevin Reilly, of NBC Development said "America watched her grow up on [the American Pie movies], and she's come into her own as a young woman," he told Daily Variety. "She's beautiful and funny and really charming. And she exudes a great spark comedically."
Talks are already underway with potential writers to come up with a suitable concept. If nothing appeals to Aly by next spring, she will be free to look outside of NBC for a possible series for the Fall 2004 season.
If things go well, we might very well see Aly back in a weekly manner come mid-season. If things go really well it will be a success and renewed for Fall. Here's hoping NBC can come up with something that meshes well with Aly's talents and can do a good job promoting and placing the project once it's ready to air.
That 70's Alyson [10-07-03]

Alyson will play a new police academy recruit where Kelso, the good-looking but intellectually-challenged friend of Eric, is also enrolled.
This will be Alyson's first significant television appearance since Buffy the Vampire Slayer ended it's seven-year run in May.

The End [05-19-03]
Tomorrow (Tuesday, May 20), marks the sad, final episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer's seven year run. We here at AHAS have really gotten accustomed to seeing Alyson's bright face on a weekly basis (except in the summer) and we fully expect some major withdrawl symptoms. The 20th really snuck up on us!
Alyson, you've really made watching Buffya pleasure and we've thoroughly enjoyed watching Willow evolve from a frightened, geeky bookworm to the evil-fighting super-hottie wiccan she grew to become. You really brought her character to life!
Joss, thank you for making the last seven years so enjoyable. Your writing is unparallelled. Your sense of timing is impeccable. Your ability to twist your tales and suprise us on a regular basis will surely be missed! I do hope you pick up another project in the near future and give it the Joss touch we've seen almost every week in Buffy.
To everyone involved with Buffy - Thanks, it's been a great ride.
...but not for us! [05-19-03]
While May 20th marks the end of BtVS, it most certainly does not signal the end to AHAS. As we have stated time and time again, this site is dedicated to Alyson Hannigan, not the role Aly plays on Buffy.
Buffy may be over, but Alyson still has a promising career ahead of her and you can always turn to The Alyson Hannigan Appreciation Society for all the latest news, information, rumors, gossip, chat, photos and more! We're not going anywhere!
AHAS Back Online [03-29-03]
On March 26, nasty hackers infiltrated our server and caused some major damage. It took over two days to repair the server and protect it from any further intrusion. That is why AHAS and AHASChat have been non-operational these last couple of days. We greatly apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
We now rejoin our program, already in progress...
Happy 29th! [03-24-03]
Alyson turns 29 today, and AHAS would like to wish her a very Happy Birthday! As Buffy winds down, we hope that Alyson might find her way into another project that will allow us fans to appreciate her acting ability on a weekly basis, rather than the odd one-to-two year appearance that movies provide us.
Whatever your choice, we wish you well and good luck and we look forward to seeing you in whatever you do next!
Second Chance To See Willow Get Witchy! [03-22-03]
Many Alyson fans tuned in to Angel last week to see Willow offer her unique talents to Angel Investigations. Unbeknownst to her, however, a darker evil was awaiting and struck during the last ten minutes of the episode.
Many, not all, WB stations chose that moment to break away to CNN news coverage of the U.S. attack on Iraq, leaving those unfortunate viewers twisting in the chaotic breeze (myself included).
We can only assume the terrible outcry that befell The WB's ears, for in a moment of clear and wise thinking, they have decided to re-air that episode Sunday, March 23rd at 9 p.m./8 p.m. CST. Here's the description:
Orpheus: While in their drug-induced comas, Angelus (David Boreanaz) and Faith (guest star Eliza Dushku) experience flashbacks of Angel's good deeds over the centuries; Fred (Amy Acker) calls in Willow (guest star Alyson Hannigan, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"), the only person ever able to restore Angel's soul and asks her to help them do it again.
Let The Tributes Begin [03-18-03]
Greystone Inn is an online comic strip about a fictional comic strip "Greystone Inn", and the crew that produces it.
Once you figure that out, head on over and (fixed link now) enjoy their tribute to Buffy the Vampire Slayer. The tribute started yesterday and according to creator Brad Guigar, will focus on Buffy for the next couple of weeks. Enjoy!

Does It Come In Blue? [03-08-03]
AHAS announces the grand opening of its AHASStore, a convienient location for you to find all sorts of Alyson propoganda and paraphernalia, such as calendars, books, pictures and DVDs!
They're all at great prices and each purchase you make helps AHAS with operational costs. So help us out and grab that uncut version of American Pie 2 you've been thinking about!
It's Official. It's Over. And Yet... [02-27-03]
It was officially announced by Sarah Michelle Gellar yesterday, that this will be the final season for Buffy the Vampire Slayer. After seven seasons, the stake-wielding heroine will hang up her crossbows and hip banter for good.
The series will end with a five-part story which will see the return of several past co-stars of the show. "It's going to be pretty specacular," said Gellar in an interview with Entertainment Weekly magazine.
However, all may not be lost for the Buffy universe, in which vampires, demons, and other supernatural beings reside, including our charming wicca Willow Rosenberg, played by Alyson Hannigan. Buffy creator Joss Whedon is pitching a spin-off to UPN which may include some Buffy cast members.
Whether or not Alyson would be part of the spin-off is unknown at this point. Her character may not be part of Joss's vision, or Alyson herself could decline to participate considering her success in the recent American Pie series of movies.
Regardless of the future of Buffy, and our opportunity to see Alyson on a weekly basis, you can be sure AHAS will be here, keeping you up-to-date on all of Alyson's latest projects.

aka Beyond The City Limits... [02-21-03]
Order it now!
The first movie to headline Alyson Hannigan (along with costars Jennifer Esposito and Nastassja Kinski) was plagued with troubles and was never released here in the U.S. It was released overseas on DVD and now, finally, it's coming to America, albeit under a different title.
Rip It Off is Beyond the City Limits renamed to lure Alyson Hannigan fans hoping for a bit of skin I'll bet. It's due to be released April 22, 2003. Not many details are available yet. If you want to preorder it, you can do so via the convenience of AHAS's new AHASStore!
You'll get all your Alyson-branded stuff, and help support AHAS at the same time. What could be nicer?
Cartoons Speak Out On Tragedy [01-29-03]
No, not even those living in the 2D world can
escape the news of Alyson's engagement, as
evidenced by
Movie Punks, a web comic from Canada.
Aly's An Angel [01-24-03]
And, she's on Angel. Alyson will be
making a crossover appearance as Willow on the
WB's Angel airing March 26th.
As
reported on scifi.com, Alyson filmed her
scenes yesterday and couldn't say much about
the storyline. This is the third time Alyson has appeared on Angel, and AHAS believes this is the
first crossover to happen since Buffy and Angel
parted networks.
What Fate Willow? [01-24-03]
In
the same scifi.com article, Alyson talked
briefly about what will happen next season, if there
is a next season. If there is another season, says
Aly, she would probably only stay if Joss
Whedon, the director, does. Otherwise, she
would "beg him to take me with
him". But she seems to think that things
are winding down for the Scooby gang. "
I think this is the last year. It feels like the last year."
She said she is also unsure if she'd be
willing to star in a spinoff series about her
character Willow Rosenberg.
Save Buffy (and Ferris) [01-23-03]
While AHAS doesn't normally participate in
petitions, we add this one merely for completeness.
Even before a decision has been made about the
fate of our only source of a weekly Alyson fix, Tami
Mitchell has started a petition in hopes to insure an
eighth season for Buffy.
So while we are not ones to sign possibly
unnecessary petitions, we offer this link to those
of you who do.
Buffy
the Vampire Slayer - Let there be an 8th Season.
Oh Sadness... [01-22-03]
While the rest of us who celebrate Christmas
were opening presents, visiting friends and
relatives, and eating way too much turkey and
ham, little did we know what evil had befallen us
amongst the post-holiday snow.
Alyson is officially engaged. Maj broke the
news to us on AHASChat,
which led us to this
article on scifi.com. Longtime boyfriend
Alexis Denisof became officially engaged to
Alyson over the Christmas break near a lake in
Napa Valley, California.
Right now, they are looking at September or
October of this year for the wedding. Fans of
Alyson now have to struggle with the inner
conflict of being happy for her and hoping it all
falls apart so that she remains available. Those
who loathe Denisof for stealing her away from
them certainly aren't feeling any more love for
him after his quote at the press conference
where he made the announcement.
"Sorry. She's mine. All mine! Ha ha ha ha!"
Bands love the rich taste of Hannigan! [10-04-02]
What is it about our beloved Aly
that inspires the muse of rock bands
to pen songs about her? If we knew
that and bottled it, we'd be rich!
the malcolm effect,
Chicago-based band, has
written "a little tune about
a girl you might know." Well,
they sell themselves far short.
"this one time" rocks!
The song is excellent, very
professional-sounding and celebrates
the actress rather than the parts
she plays. You really need to
check this MP3 out! the
malcolm effect also has "
this one time" available in
Quicktime format and as an acoustical
demo on their new
songs page. If you have trouble
accessing their site, the band is
allowing me to host the MP3 for
your downloading pleasure.
"this one time" will
be featured on their first CD
"breaker breaker" due to
be released November 2nd. Support
indie bands. If you like their
tunes, buy their CD!

Season Seven Strikes Soon [08-20-02]
Where will Willow go from here?
Will she find love again? What
repurcussions await our favorite
wicca?
Buffy's seventh season is fast
approaching! Save a spot on your
calendar and in front of the TV
on September 24th when Willow
returns to the airwaves (or watch
it whenever you want if you've
got TiVo). I hope Joss has some
juicy stuff for us again this
time around!
Back for a third slice... [08-09-02]
It has been confirmed that
Universal Pictures has finally
struck a deal with Alyson to
reprise her role in the
upcoming American Pie 3. Up
until this point, only Seann
William Scott had been signed on
for the project.

"Conspiracy Theorists, Go!" [07-02-02]
Big snafu over at the National
Academy of Television Arts and
Sciences! An earlier report on
AHAS told you about the
Buffy musical episode "Once
More, With Feeling" was up
for an Emmy nomination. Well, as
Noted AHAS Member Joseph
revealed in AHASChat, the
ballots for voting for the Emmys
were mailed out last week and
guess who was left off the ballot?
That's right, the musical episode,
nominated for Outstanding Writing
in a Drama Series.
A postcard has been rushed out
to members, noting "Once More,
With Feeling" as an added entry
for consideration in the
Outstanding Writing in a Drama
Series category, but is the
damage already done?
You can
from the Washington Post and then
come
talk about it in the AHASChat
forums.

Once More, With Feeling [05-30-02]
Those of you desperate to see more
Alyson as Willow on DVD before the
Season 2 set is released on June 11
can see her in "Once More, With
Feeling," the Buffy Musical on DVD.
That is, if you're willing to
pony up the
cash. No, UPN has not released a
musical-episode-only DVD to the
public. What they have done
is submitted DVD copies of the
musical episode to MPA members to
consider it for an award at the
next Emmy Awards. Thousands of
these DVDs were sent out and now
some of them have found their way
to eBay.
Current auction prices are well
over $200, but they are legit
copies. So, if you just have to see
some wicca-Willow full of DVD-goodness now
instead of waiting for geek-Willow
episodes to be released
in a couple weeks, you have options.
I'm not wicca, I'm just drawn that way [05-27-02]
Alyson will be providing the voice for her Willow character in a new animated series coming this fall Buffy, the Animated Series.
The series is now in production, with five episodes promised. If ratings do well, then more episodes will be purchased. Not much is know about the series now, except that Joss Whedon and executive producer Jeff Loeb is looking at animated series like Batman Beyond for stylistic inspiration.
BBC Online has interviews with two writers of the new series. To learn more about the animated series, read what Jane Espenson and Stephen DeKnight have to say.
AHASChat! New! Improved! [05-23-02]
I'm launching a new version of AHASChat today. I messed up the old one pretty bad - even to the point of disabling the ability to create new topics. (Bad AHAS! No biscuit!)
Anyway, I didn't want to wait until I was able to move the old messages over 'cause I wanted you all to get in and party right away! Just sign up and go crazy.
AHAS was the first Alyson Hannigan fan site to bring you forums, and many other firsts. So come on in and have a ball. You are what make this site great!

Alyson on Late Late [05-20-02]
Alyson is scheduled to appear on The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn tonight. Check your local listings.
Sorry For The Absence [04-29-02]
We're still here and still kicking...barely. More like a stubbed toe, really. We do apologize and have at least updated some of our more embarassing errors (updating Aly's age, getting the flipping station right, and updating Ms. Hannigan's contact information. Oh yeah, and our 'last updated' date on the right there. That's just WRONG!).
Please don't let us do that again. Feel free to send us any Alyson info you may have that's missing here. We get a rather large audience and I really don't want to let you all down!
Welcome Slashdot! [11-24-01]
A Willow-centric poll over on Slashdot (News For Nerds. Stuff That Matters), created a link to some enjoyable Alyson photos on this site. If any of you happen to make your way to this home page, then consider yourself welcomed! Feel free to roam about.
Celebrity Adventures Update! [09-30-01]
"Alyson Hannigan in Paupa New Guinea" is coming soon to E! Luckily, E! loves the idea of repeat showings, so there are lots of opportunities to see this episode of Celebrity Adventures. Here's the schedule:
Oct. 1 - 9:00pm (CST) on E!
Oct. 4 - 2:00pm (CST) on E!
Oct. 5 - 6:00pm (CST) on E!
Oct. 7 - 7:00pm (CST) on E!
You might find more information on the E! website.
Alyson Meets Reality TV [08-30-01]
On Monday, September 17th, E! will premiere a new reality-based show called "Celebrity Adventures". The new show will feature stars such as Jerry O'Connell, Rachel Leigh Cook, Jessica Biel, and yes, our very own Alyson.
Airing at 10pm EST, Alyson's segment will find her in Paupa New Guinea. The E! website doesn't mention what her adventure will be. Also unclear is whether Alyson will be in this premiere episode or a following one. AHAS will let you know when more info becomes available.
There's That Bellybutton Again! [05-21-01]
British Men's Magazine FHM recently held a poll for the world's sexiest woman. While it would be naiive to believe Alyson would capture the top spot, SHE MADE THE TOP 10! Jennifer Lopez was crowned sexiest woman for this year.
Rounding out the top ten were British television presenter Kelly Brook, Denise Richardson, Carmen Electra, Alyson Hannigan, Salma Hayak, MTV VJ Cat Deely and Charlize Theron.Way to go, Aly! (If you need to ask why she made the Top 10, check out the pics page!)
R2 DVD Review [05-04-01]
For a closer look at the new DVD set due out in May, check out this review on the R2 Project site.
The Perfect Collection [05-03-01]
Just to make all of us in America feel inferior, I'm reminding everyone that while we cannot yet get ANY episodes of Buffy on DVD, our friends across the ocean in the U.K. have had the entire first season on DVD, and season two episodes are to be released May 22nd.
Before you run out and buy a set or two over the Internet, remember that these sets are Region 2 encoded, and they won't play in DVD players in the U.S., unless you have a modified player or one that plays R2 disks.
As for us stateside, latest rumors point to this winter for a Season One set.
Buffy Moves, Willow To Follow [04-25-01]
A sad day indeed. Reports are that Buffy the Vampire Slayer is moving from the WB to UPN. Money is the reason for the move, and UPN is promising a two-year, 44 episode contract. That's assuming UPN will even be around that long. If you're lucky, there's a UPN affiliate in your market. If not, better move before the fall season starts!
Check out the UPN site to see if there's an affiliate in your market.
Happy Birthday! [03-24-01]
Alyson Hannigan turns 27 today! Have a piece of cake (or pie) in honor of her birthday!
Gotta Love Those Flute Lessons [03-14-01]
Alyson Hannigan will be reprising her role as Michelle, the "band geek" in the recently-announced "American Pie II", currently in production. This film is scheduled to hit theaters in August.
An Emmy Is More Her Style [03-11-01]
Well, as everyone is already aware, Alyson did not win the "Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series" award at the TV Guide Awards show. After seeing her performance in "The Body", I know she deserves far better than a TV Guide award. Let's look for her at the Emmys next year!
Now With 15% More Midriff [03-10-01]
As you can see, we've revamped our site! This new look, over eight months in the making, cleans up the look, improves navigation, and now sports trendy Database News! All the news here and on the archive pages is delivered from a database. What does this mean to you? Well, the best news is that adding updates to AHAS will be much easier now, so you can expect more news more often! Very soon, we can also implement a search engine so you can seek out the Aly-info you need!
We've also moved a lot of the news to the archive page, so the AHAS home page should load faster for everyone.
PLEASE! Let me know what you think of the new design! Drop a note off in AHAS Chat or bang out an email to me.
Enjoy!
I would watch WILLOW [01-31-01]
SCI-FI WIRE is the news site for the SCIFI Channel. Each week they have a poll on the right side of their page. This week, they ask what Sarah Michelle Gellar should do if Buffy moves to another network. The last option is my favorite: "Rename the show" Willow. This is great! Go vote now!
It's All Because of the Bras, Baby! [01-14-01]
The british issue of FHM, has a very revealing photo shoot of our dear Aly. Check it out for yourself. There's also a short Q-n-A that goes along with the photos. I'm not sure why it took me 34 visits to notice that. In it, FHM comments that Hannigan scored better than the likes of Demi Moore, Natasha Henstridge and Mena Suvari. Go Aly!!!
Oh, by the way, we also have the photos on our Pics page.
FHM Shoot Too Hot? [01-14-01]
The FHM photo shoot of Alyson is not your everyday shoot with Aly showing much more skin than we are accustomed to. What do you think? Do you appreciate the pics? Or is this not the Alyson you know (or think you know!). A thread has been started in our AHAS Chat forums discussing this very topic. Please stop in and post your opinion!
New Buffy Tonight [01-09-01]
Don't be misled by the Angel repeat! Buffy is all new!
Triangle, episode #5ABB11
Willow accidentally conjures a troll; Buffy recovers from losing Riley.
K is for Klopecs [01-05-01]
In the "Setting Things Right" department, JJ Hardy, guitarist for the Klopecs, another Missouri-based punk band, co-wrote the lyrics for the song "Alyson Hannigan" (see 8-28-00). Credit goes where credit is due, and I wanted everyone to know that Hardy deserves some of the credit. The previous news item has also been updated to reflect this change.
New AHAS Chat! [01-04-01]
I've put the new chat system online! Please visit and post messages, thoughts, ideas, opinions, hot sauce recipies, etc. The old chat system is still here, but it will be shut down in the next few days. Please let me know what you think of they new system.

Get the Vote Out! [01-03-01]
Our own Alyson Hannigan has been nominated for a "TV Guide Award" in the Supporting Actress of the Year in a Drama Series. The winners are determined by ballot published in the January 6th and January 13th issues of TV Guide and available online at www.tvguide.com and through AOL. Don't wait!!! GO VOTE NOW!
New AHAS Features Coming Soon! [01-02-01]
We've been working a lot behind the scenes lately here at AHAS. In a very short time, you will see a brand new forum board, database-driven news, and search capabilities! The new Forums are first and should show up in a day or two. The bad news is that all the current posts in the forums will be lost. I'm sorry, but the new software does not make it easy to port the current messages over. Still, the new boards are much better than the current ones!
It's gonna be a great 2001!
Juvenile Wreck! [08-28-00]
The Columbia, Missouri punk band Juvenile Wreck is truly an inspiration to us all. Co-written by Tony Phoenix of Juvenile Wreck and JJ Hardy of The Klopecs, this tribute to our fave femme, appropriately titled Alyson Hannigan gives us all a reason to fire up our CD players! Race on over to MP3.com and get your very own MP3.
In case you're wondering, here are the lyrics...
I first saw you when I was ten
And your stepmother was an alien
You were attacked by an alien bag
And Dan Akroyd he was your dad
One day I turned my TV on
And Saw you dancing at the bronze
Where all the kids just wanna dance
Oh Willow I wanna be your man
(Chorus)
Alyson, Alyson Hannigan,
I can't wait til tuesday to see you again
Alyson
(Bridge)
Willow Let's Go
(End part)
Your stepmother was an alien
I love you Alyson Hannigan
Alyson
(These guys sooooo rock!)
Add Alyson to the "Presumed Dead" roster [06-14-00]
Rumors flew across the internet when a rumor of her death, a day off to go book-shopping, and a lifeless pager all coincided to freak out her friends and family. "I was just shopping and looking 'round book stores," she said. "People were frantically trying to get in touch with me and ... calling hospitals ... I got home and my voice mail was filled with people (wondering if I was okay) and I was completely oblivious."
Our Alyson summer fix [05-15-00]

Flute must be a popular instrument [09-17-99]
American Pie broke the $100 million mark this week in domestic sales! Way to go Alyson!
More pics [09-04-99]
Woefully out of date, I've finally gotten around to adding some more pictures to the Pics archive. Included are a shot from a recent WB promotion and pics from MXG magazine.
Alyson jumps [03-01-99]
Alyson's featured in a two page article in the March 1999 issue of Jump magazine (Sorry, no online version of this article is available). In it she talks about East Great Falls High (aka American Pie), and how she passed up the "cool, normal girl" part for the more quirky "resident marching band nerd" because "I'd much rather play all the quirky, less popular characters because I'm kind of quirky myself."
She also talks about playing soccer since she was three and that she takes regular karate classes and signs up for ballet classes whenever she can "because I'm a complete spaz and someday I'd love to learn how to be graceful." Alyson, we think you are full of grace.
The second page of the article is pics and descriptions of some soccer-related leg and cardio workouts you can do. The pics are real cute. I'll try to get them online soon!
