NBC nixed Alyson's sit com

Talk here about Alyson's acting in general.

They're just joining the ranks of the other networks.

I don't care what type of show she does as long as she has one.

From a business standpoint, you would pick Joey over Aly's sitcom. It's pretty much common sense.

As an Aly fan, I am upset by this though

I wish I knew the process on new shows being picked up by networks better, as I want to know, is Aly's show still in the ring for next years selection?

Looks like the big thing this coming season is the "reality show." No scripts, which means no actors, which means lower overhead costs, and thusly cheaper to do, so it's free money from the advertisers. I hope the live theater scene in L.A. gets a boost.

Rev. Wyrdsli wrote:It's a shame that NBC decided not to go with the sitcom that Alyson had been working on. Even if the show was dumb, I'd watch it just to see her.
But I'd almost rather see her do more movies. She's proved she can do ANYTHING! I liked the character she had in "Rip it off", a recovering herion addict. It would be really cool to see her do more out there and edgy stuff. Ever since seeing her do the "Vamp Willow" I'm just blown away by her range.
And Ally, if you read this, it's really NBC stupidity and loss. All they had to do was give the show a chance. But all of us out here know you're going to do great things and we can't wait to see them!
All my love to you Ally!

Not sure what to amek of this psot which bumped this thread, but I ahev to say, especialyl in hindsighty with _HIMYM_'s beign so good, this was alucky break. From what I heard of thsi show (can't ebleive I never said it here before, 'csue I said it elsewhere) the way ALy's character was written and also the brother's character, she would have been fonzarellied out of sight on her own starring vehicle. (Same goes for a sitcom Charisma was up for round same time.) Also I don't like adultery as a major long-temr plot hook, especially when it's a husband cheating.
Tara;I can't believe I've finally found you.
Willow;Oh, I believe it, I'm good at being found, I mean... oh, hell!
